SPRINGFIELD, MO — Get a COVID-19 vaccine and skate for free! The Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Springfield Fire Department with IAFF Local 152 and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department partner to host the Stick & Skate vaccine clinic Wednesday, June 16, 12-3 p.m. at Jordan Valley Ice Park, 635 E. Trafficway St., Springfield.

Everyone receiving vaccine at this clinic is invited to a free ice skating session, including free skate rental, Wednesday, June 16, 12:30-3 p.m. Those not receiving vaccine may also skate at regular price: $6/Adult, $5/Children, Students and Seniors, with $3/Skate rental. Outside the Ice Park, the Fire Department will show off a fire truck and answer questions about it.

The Pfizer two-dose vaccine is available to individuals 12 and older and the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine is available to those 18 and older.

The Health Department, Park Board and Fire Department have worked together to identify locations in areas with low rates of vaccination and where the most people could be reached. This partnership represents the Health Department’s ongoing commitment to meeting people where they are to make vaccinations more accessible.

While walk-ins are always welcome, individuals may save time by registering for clinics in advance at CovidVaccine.mo.gov/navigator. Individuals who pre-register should bring their ID and Vaccine Navigator patient identification number with them to the event. Individuals 12-17 must have parent/guardian consent.
