It’s Throwback Thursday! Today’s Parks Pick-Me-Up features Doling Park, one of 10 Historic Parks dating to pre-WWII in Springfield. Doling Park has a very colorful history! It was once the Giboney family homestead, a private park developed by James Marshall Doling, an amusement park with rides and games — all before the Park Board acquired the property in 1929.
