Virtual Fun Run
What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be completed from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Sign up and compete in any of the events listed and follow along with the leaderboard as it grows!
How it Works
Groundhog Day 5K
This event is our 1st offering of the 2022 Virtual Race Series and is themed around Groundhog Day! Get out and enjoy some of your local trails and see if six more weeks of winter is in store. This event benefits the Springfield Greene County Park Board scholarship fund, which provides financial support for kids who want to participate in Park Board activities throughout the year.
Submit your results online from February 2 - February 13. To submit results, please visit our Virtual Race Series page, find your event, and click on the results button. Once there, just enter your registration ID number located on your confirmation email, type in your time and submit a photo or screenshot of your run. Once you have submitted your results and they have been approved, you will be able to compare your results with other virtual runners who have participated.
Park Board Virtual Race Series Distance Challenge
Stay motivated and keep your goals in reach this year by competing in our 2021 distance challenge. This challenge combines your distances for all events completed in our virtual race series. The more events you participate in, the more distance you cover. The more kilometers you gain, the higher your ranking.
