Parks Memorial Program

Leave a Gift in Your Will

You may support Parks by including the Springfield-Greene County Park Board in your will. If you don’t yet have a will, now is a great time to create one. If you already have a will, speak with your estate planner about including a gift or leaving a portion of your estate to the Park Board.

Three steps toward making a will:

  1. Think about what you have – your estate and assets – and who you’d like to be your executor.
  2. Choose who you will remember in your will, including family, friends and the causes you care about.
  3. Decide who will write your will. Work with an estate planner, or use a reputable online will-writing app, to record your wishes.

Memorials in Parks

Remember your loved ones with a memorial bench in a park.

At Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park:

  • Inscribed brick pavers are available at the White Garden, Redbud Garden, Butterfly House and Rose Garden.
  • Steel tribute benches are available. Benches are 6 feet, commercial-grade, powder-coated steel with an inscription plate, installed on a concrete pad.
  • All memorials at this location are coordinated through Friends of the Garden. Call 417-874-2952 for details and arrangements.
