Ongoing Programs

  1. Adopt an Urban Garden


    Enjoy the benefits of gardening and growing your own food - even if you don't have a yard! Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park has 70 raised garden beds available for rent March-October.  Choose from 8'x16' or 16'x16'. You chose what to grow, but all maintenance and watering are your responsibility. Plots are open dawn to dusk. All garden beds are filled with topsoil and organic matter and several water sources are on site. Previous renters may renew garden plots starting Jan. 2. New renters may reserve plots beginning Feb. 1.

    Date: March-November
    Fee: $25 / 8x16 ft. plot, $40 / 16x16 ft. plot (optional prep fee $30)

  2. Themed Educational Field Trips


    Fun and engaging educational field trips are available for pre-school through 5th grade classes. Designed to assist teachers by aligning with Missouri State Standards. Classes are 30-60 minutes long, and may include up to 45 students. Classes in the temperature-controlled barn classroom.

    Age: Pre-school - 5th grade
    Date: By appointment
    Time: Tues.-Fri.
    Fee: $2.50/Student 30-minute class
    $3.50/Student 60-minute class
    Some schools qualify for discounts

  3. Fall Field Trips


    Fall is a wonderful season to visit the farm, with fun and engaging educational programs for preschool through 5th grade. Add in the corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, and more. Groups must be scheduled in advance, minimum 10 participants. Discounts may be available.
