Cruse Dog Park annual membership rates are now $35, starting Aug. 1. The change reflects increased costs for gate fobs and gate/lock maintenance, as well as general park maintenance. This was the first rate increase since Cruse Dog Park opened in 2008.
Day pass and fob replacement fees remain the same, both at $10 (plus deposit for day pass).
Cruse Dog Park was started by a group of citizens who organized to raise funds and establish Springfield's first off-leash dog park. The members-only park is funded through annual memberships, day passes and special fundraising events.
Cruse Dog Park
Cruse Dog Park is the first off-leash dog park in Springfield, Missouri. Officially ‘unleashed’ in November, 2008, the park is a 6-acre, fenced facility for dogs to go off-leash to run, play, socialize and exercise. There is a 4 1/2-acre section for large dogs and a one and a half-acre section for small dogs. The Dog Park gate is open sunrise to sunset.
Dog parks are a great place for your dog to socialize and exercise. A socialized dog make a better pet for you, your children, other humans and other dogs. Dog parks usually offer larger areas for dogs to play than most backyards allow, thus providing a much larger place for your pet to run off-leash in a safe environment.
The park is for registered users only. There is a daily pass for those just passing through town or who wish to ‘test’ the park before becoming a member.
Annual Registration Fee: $35 per dog (maximum of 2 dogs per person).
Daily Pass available for $10 (per dog), limit of 2 dogs per owner + $10 deposit
Daily fee cannot be applied toward an annual pass.
Please note you must provide a current Certificate of Vaccination for Rabies, rabies tag number and pet medical records from a licensed veterinarian documenting current vaccinations for Parvo, Distemper, and Bordetella.
The park is closed every Thursday morning from 7-8 a.m. For the safety of park patrons and their owners, Cruse Dog Park is locked during that hour. Water fountains are turned on for the season!
