General Outdoor Pool Rules |
Remember:
*WALK, WALK, WALK!
Parents, please watch your children!
No breath-holding or prolonged underwater swimming.
Do not push, dunk or fight with other guests.
No Riding on backs or shoulders!
- Children 8 and under must be directly supervised by an adult. Children 9-11 must be accompanied by an adult who is to remain in the Aquatics area. Children 12 and older may use the Aquatics Center without an adult.
- A person with a skin a skin rash or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not allowed to enter the facility. Persons with infectious conditions or contagious diseases such as colds, open sores, influenza, eye infections or similar infectious conditions or contagious diseases are not permitted in the pool.
- Street shoes are not permitted on the pool deck. Sandals and water shoes only may be worn.
- Shower before entering the pool and after use of toilet facilities.
- Swim diapers are required for all non-toilet trained guests.
- All swimmers must wear an appropriate swimsuit into the water.
- T-shirts may be worn in the pool. They must be clean, not cut off or torn, and cannot have rude language or symbols.
- Large inflatable rafts and other items are prohibited. Soft, small balls and fun noodles are permitted.
- Flotation devices may be only be used when a parent or guardian is IN the water and within arm’s reach of the child.
- We reserve the right to have any item removed from the pool for the safety of our other guests.
- There will be a pool check at 5 minutes before each hour. Ages 18 and up may continue to swim, but all other guests must sit on the side during pool check. These checks will be called on weekends and during heavy traffic times. Heavy traffic times will be determined by the aquatics staff.
- No running or rough play.
- The pool may close early due to severe weather conditions.
- Please place your gum in the trash before you enter the pool.
- At the discretion of the lifeguard, any swimmer may be asked to demonstrate swimming ability to determine if they are able to use designated areas of the pool.
- Chesterfield Family Center reserves the right to enforce additional rules as needed to ensure the safety of our members and guests.
- For Your Safety: Kickboards may only be used in the lap lanes.
- To use the Hot Tub: You must be 14 years or older to be in the spa.

Water Slide Rules |
- All riders must be 48” tall.
- Riders must lie on their backs at all times. No sitting up while riding the slide is permitted.
- Maximum rider weight is 300 pounds.
- Do not pull or propel yourself on the slide.
- No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. No cut off jeans-only swim suits.
- Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard.
- Riders must ride feet first while lying on their back with arms crossed at chest.
- Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted on the slide.
- No tubes, mats, or lifejackets permitted on the waterslide.
- The line should form on the deck with one rider on each landing and one rider in the starter tub. Wait until landing area is clear before entering.
- Riders must be in good health. Pregnant women or individuals with heart or back conditions should not use this ride.
- Do not use the slide while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Follow instructions of slide attendant.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume.
- No Diving from slide.
- Leave the plunge pool promptly after entering.
- Non-swimmers not permitted down slide.
- Warning: Water Depth is 3 feet 6 inches.
