Springfield, MO — The Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s six outdoor pools open for the 2017 season Saturday, May 26. Fassnight, Grant Beach, Meador, Silver Springs and Westport pools will be open Saturday and Sunday, 1-6:30 p.m.
Fassnight, Grant Beach and Meador pools are also open Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 1-6:30 p.m., for discount Splash & Sizzle, with all-day $1 admission, or free with a canned food donation, benefiting Ozarks Food Harvest.
New this year, Fassnight Pool has a newly renovated concessions operation, allowing for an expanded menu and greater accessibility and visibility.
After the holiday weekend, all outdoor pools follow their regular schedule through Sunday, Aug. 12. Each pool is open six days a week, 1-6:30 p.m., with maintenance days staggered Monday through Wednesday, and all outdoor pools open Thursday through Sunday.
Daily outdoor pool admission is $3/adults, $2.50/youth and seniors. Discount admission daily 5:30-6:30 p.m., $1 for all ages or free with a canned food item donation, benefiting Ozarks Food Harvest. Discount coupon books and season passes are available.
McGee-McGregor Wading Pool is also open for the season, following its own schedule: Tuesday- Saturday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m., and Sunday 1-4 p.m. Admission there is free.
Indoor pools at Chesterfield and Doling Family Centers are also open seven days a week, with outdoor admission rates offered Monday-Thursday, 1-6:30 p.m. Regular indoor admission is $6/kids and seniors, $8/adults.

The Park Board completely renovated Fassnight in 2009, with a new filter system installed in 2017. Silver Springs was renovated in 2010, Grant Beach in 2011, and Westport in 2012, with splash features, slides and other amenities added at each location. The former outdoor Doling Pool was replaced by the Doling Family Center Indoor Aquatics Facility in 2013.
