Ritter Springs Cave Tours

The Ultimate Springfield Cave Tour


A half day of adventure and caving around the Springfield area. Hike to the outside of the caves at Ritter Springs Park, walk through Giboney Cave at Doling Park, and take a boat through Sequiota Cave at Sequiota Park. Transportation and gear is provided. Sequiota Cave Boat Tours


Slowly paddle through Sequiota Cave learning its myths, facts and history. Tours take are scheduled throughout the day and take 30-40 minutes. Tours are sub-ject to weather and bat activity. Space is limited. Register by March 2 or 9. No on-site registration this year. Sequiota Park 833-8647

Glory Hole Hike


Hike to a truly unique water fall that plunges through a hole in an overhang-ing bluff. Located in the Ozark National Forest, Upper Buffalo River Area, in Ar-kansas. This is a 2-mile moderate level hike, so physical fitness is a must. Trans-portation provided. Bring your own lunch, snacks and water. Day Packs available for rent. Register by March 23. Hercules Glades Hike


Rugged and beautiful, Hercules Glades Wilderness in Taney County, Mo., pro-vides Ozarks nature viewing and solitude at its finest. Hike 3.3 miles down to the falls and back, total 6.6 miles. Ozark Highlands Trail Backpacking


One of the Top 10 hiking trails in the country, the 165-Ozark Highland Trail spans beautiful Ozark hardwood and pine forests in northwest Arkansas. For this excursion, we will backpack 13 miles from Chancel to Ft. Douglas Trailhead, through the Hurricane Creek Wilderness Area. This is a moderate-to-difficult level trip with overnight camping.
